Basalt is a volcanic rock, which contains
magnetite. Due to its hardness and resistance, it is usually used as
construction material, mostly for building roads.
Project Basalt aims to build new roads and to attract new
visitors towards several important web sites. These web sites will be
significant as they will present renowned and young Macedonian
artists.
In January-February
2005 we have published the
web sites of
Bogomil Gjuzel,
Mateja Matevski,
Mizar, and
Kole Čašule. In November
2005 we have published the
web site of Nikola Kokan Dimuševski.
Further on, we are planning to develop and publish the web sites of:
Vlada Urošević, Tomislav Osmanli, Nikola Madžirov, Jovica Ivanovski, Kaldrma...
Each of these authors has created lasting marks in the realm of
Macedonian culture. As such, we are strongly convinced that these
authors have to be presented on the Internet, as the new mass medium.
When selecting authors, Cultural Institution "Blesok" has in mind the
accessibility of the materials in electronic form, as well as the
interest of the authors for such a presentation.
Project Basalt will be enriched with the already established web
sites of
Luan Starova,
Kata Kulavkova,
Kismet,
Igor Isakovski,
Miroslav Masin.
Cultural Institution "Blesok", the initiator and developer of the
project, has the agreement of all above mentioned authors for their
presentation in this manner.
All Macedonian authors are welcome to associate their web sites
with BASALT. The criteria for joining already established web sites to
BASALT are: the web site design, its contents, and the works that
present the author.
In future years, we are going to increase the number of authors
presented in this manner, while adding artists from other arts:
theatre, movies, fine arts, etc.
In general, each of the web sites will contain: excerpts from
works, reviews on author's work, news on the author,
bio-bibliographical notes, gallery and search engine. The texts will
be published in variety of languages, while navigation of each of the
web sites will be initially in Macedonian and English, with an open
possibility to add other languages. Some of the web sites will contain
audio and video materials, as well as 3D objects.
In 2007/2008, we will be ready to publish all these web sites on
a multimedia CD-ROM, which will contain a big number of texts,
reviews, photographs, as well as other multimedia contents. |
